To raise each new generation with the knowledge, character, and civic understanding necessary to preserve and strengthen the American Republic.
Raising the Republic Foundation advances American history and civic education by teaching the founding principles of the United States, the Constitution, the development of our democratic institutions, and the rights and responsibilities of citizenship.
With a primary commitment to K–12 education and a broader mission serving people of all ages, we equip students, educators, families, and communities to understand America's past, thoughtfully engage with its present, and responsibly shape its future.
We believe that the American Republic cannot sustain itself through institutions and laws alone. Its continued vitality depends upon informed citizens who understand the principles of self-government and are prepared to carry them forward.
A republic is not inherited automatically. It must be taught, understood, practiced, and renewed—one generation at a time.
Join us in Raising the Republic one generation at a time.
In 2026, our founder, Jason Thompson, wrote an article for Washington Examiner magazine titled “Who Will Raise the Republic,” one of many catalysts that culminated in the founding of the Raising the Republic Foundation.

Meet
Jason Thompson
Jason and his wife, Dana, are long-time Cache Valley residents. They are proud parents of six children, including two sets of twins.
Jason graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from Brigham Young University in 2006 and earned a Master of Public Administration from Brigham Young University in 2010. He is currently pursuing another master’s degree. As a board member for the Center for Constitutional Studies at Utah Valley University, Jason decided to experience the program for himself. He will complete a Master of Arts in Constitutional Government, Civics, and Law through the Center in 2027.
As an entrepreneur, Jason started numerous businesses throughout his life, beginning with a used and rare book business he operated during college. After completing his master’s degree, Jason helped start Fox Pest Control, headquartered in Logan, Utah. Through his hard work and dedication, he helped grow Fox Pest Control into the nation's fourteenth-largest pest control company. Jason was instrumental in creating nearly 2,000 jobs during his tenure at Fox, with hundreds of those positions located in Cache Valley.
With various business partners, Jason also owns and operates multiple other businesses, including an auto repair shop and a real estate investment company.
In his free time, Jason can often be found working in the yard with his kids, photographing wildlife, and finding new books to add to his collection.
